Coffee
Looney Bean
Our favorite is the dirty hippie. Make sure to get your order with the espresso whip cream, you have to ask for it!
Breakfast
Lemon Tree
No reservations! Arrive early to get into the first seating. A line usually accumulates outside, but if you arrive 20-30 minutes before opening you should have no problem getting seated in the first wave. They also have a mimosa bar if you don’t make the first seating. Have 1 person in your party walk over to Looney Bean to pick up coffee for the group as you wait in line – but be careful! Your whole party does need to be there to be seated, and they are very serious about that. Our favorites are the Shakshuka and Croque Madame!
Sparrow Bakery
Everything here is killer! Must try local favorites are the Ocean Roll, and the COCC cookie!
Breweries
There are tons of breweries to choose from in Bend and you can’t go wrong with any of them. But here are some of our favorites.
Worthy
Outdoor and indoor space, generally has live music on the weekends on an outdoor stage, outdoor firepits, room for kids to run around, and has an observatory upstairs that is open to the public for viewing on clear nights (check website for availability). Our favorite local pretzel and beer cheese!
Boneyard
Indoor and outdoor sections. Great food as well, fills up fast. If you have a small group you can usually squeeze in at the large tables inside.
Silvermoon
Outdoor features several firepits, great for a last stop of the night to enjoy the firepits and outdoor lighted ambiance. Indoor features bands most nights.
Monkless
Excellent food, located above the river with gorgeous views!
10 Barrel Brewing Co.
Won the most medals in Oregon at the World Beer Cup
Crux Fermentation Project 👍🏻
Outdoor and indoor space, excellent food, additional food options from food trucks on property, great grassy space for kids to play, features outdoor fire pits and covered outside seating in colder weather.
Bend Brewing Company
A nice outdoor space right on the river downtown. A great place to grab a pint and pet some dogs on a nice day.
Cocktails
The Stihl Whiskey Bar
A great little spot on the edge of downtown to grab a cocktail. Try the Aztec Banana or Nightmare Fuel.
Campfire Hotel
Wild drinks with funny names in the hippest hotel in Bend. You can also pay a small fee to get into the pool even if you’re not staying there. A nice way to beat the heat in the summer, and it’s also heated in the cooler months.
River Pig Saloon
Neat saloon in the Box Factory. The Tropicana is a great afternoon pick-me-up.
San Simón
Fun inventive cocktails. Charcuterie.
Dinner
Wild Rose (Thai) 👍🏻
There is always a line, and for good reason. You’ll need to book a reservation online, or you can always call in a pick up order.
Deschutes Public House
The brewery built a restaurant. Very busy in the summer.
Bar RBC
A more casual menu and setting than the RBC restaurant, but still spendy.
Casual
Spork
Global fusion is probably the best way I can describe it.
Americana
Born from a food truck, it’s moving to a real shop downtown near Deschutes. Most say it’s the best burger in Bend. (The rest say it’s Williburger)
Upscale
Rancher Butcher Chef (RBC)
A family-style steak house with a revolving menu.
Bos Taurus
A treat yo’self steak house that specializes in top grade Wagyu and sides. The potato puree and tasting menu is killer.
Dear Irene
A small rotating menu in an exclusive setting.
Drake
American food.
Food Truck “Pods”
A Bend staple! Food trucks gathered around a tap house. Most of the food trucks are permanent, but they do move around sometimes so it’s best to double check before ordering your beer.
On Tap
Very close to the house, but parking may be hard to come by. Our faves: Bleu Rooster, Philly Style, Rush’s Squares
Midtown Yacht Club
We love Tots!, and Shim Shon (Israeli Street Food), both are open 7 days a week.
Podksi 👍🏻
Great spot right next to the Box Factory. We love the burgers from Americana (closed on Sundays and Mondays).
